Getting a black truck was a monumental mistake. Mainly because it’s boring AF.

 

The side the lift is going on is about 11ft. So is just enough room for the two cars with the lift in a locked positron, the garage door, and a couple inches above the top car

 

I keep 2 cars in my 1+ car garage. Been threatening to have another 2 rows of block added to raise the roof enough to add 1 door panel. Always been just too short, F250 didn't quite fit in the door (height), RV didn't quite fit in the door (height), I can fit the Tacoma with cap in, but not truck + cap + RTT. I want to be able to back in, & winch off cap & tent as a unit. Tired of the garage door being not quite tall enough. Raising roof would also make a lift make sense. . Bonus - taller doesn't change the dimensions the city looks at, so no tax penalty so long as I don't add an "upstairs".

Well I'm back for a week - picking up my rack and RTT quick latching system tomorrow from my shop and will align the RTT to it. Hopefully I'll get the roof rack installed this week or it'll have to wait until late December when I'm back in town.

The tan one needed a leaf taken out of every pack and the 4runner needed the rear 3rd swapped and to have a locker installed in the one we put in

Yea already trimmed the front fenders, plans for a high clearance rear, who knows what else will get cut at this point

 

Worked on the nursery today. Painted the rocking chair from a yard sale, painted her father's old desk, painted her mom's old trunk, and put stuff together. Autographed golden books we had signed when we went in August. It's coming along nicely I'd say.

We are almost 3 months in and have kept her clothed, fed and clean...and still have no clue how we've done it yet.

If you don't already have one, this is worth it's weight in gold. Seriously, it's that good.

I'm hardly an expert, but if you want to vent to someone who is literally only months ahead of you but isn't totally failing at kids yet, feel free to give me a yell.

 

I'm in for it. Never had siblings, never took care of a kid. Only held other people's. My wife however will be a pro. She has three sisters, one with severe special needs, and she's a teacher for early Ed. Shell be helping me along the way.

I'm 1 of 1, youngest in my family until an uncle remarried when I was 11. Only held one baby once until my nephew showed up just about 2 years ago, but he hates anyone who isn't his parents, so he is a bad example.

Wife's 1 of 4, worked at the Y for many years in the family services division, became an elementary teacher. She's a natural, I was awkward.

I've found that I love my daughter, but I'm still not a kid person. When I drop her off at daycare I'm clueless how to act around the other young kids. That being said, I was shocked at how everything comes so naturally.

 

This is me, I'm starting to get the hang of what to do around kids and how to interact, i use to be scared of interacting with kids. I am an only child as well, but no kids of my own (thankfully, I'm too young)

 

Any recommendations for getting my truck fluid filmed in the Portsmouth NH area?

I'm 34 (oh god) been together with my wife for almost 10 years, married for almost 3 and it still feels scandalous saying we have a child. Like I tell people I've got a daughter and expect them to be like happy, but oh no that's going to ruin your life, etc, etc, as if I was still 17 or 18. Instead people are like OMG that's awesome, we're so happy, etc. It's normal, expected and a good thing.

That boggles my mind, still. My wife and I joke about it all the time. How is it that we have a kid and it's normal and good?

 

I'm sure it will take some getting use to! I'm 23 and still live at home, so I am in no position to be having a child or raising one myself

 

I didn't move out until I was 27 (groan) but it had it's pluses. I banked a ton of money and was able to buy a house with a garage before I was 30, which was my goal.
