I purchased the extant solid fold 2.0 for my 17 taco. We then got quite a bit of rain so I noticed a bunch of water along the sides of the bed. Has a anyone else had the issue and been able to greatly reduce the water to a slow trickle? I repositioned it and clamped it tighter so it seems to be better but it also seems to be somewhat related to channels in the bed caps that want to channel water into the bed for some reason. Not sure why Toyota would design the caps this way

    Rain along driver side
    Rain along passenger side
side cap with channel along top of cap

yea. i'm ok with the front and top of the bed. i'm more concerned about down the sides more than anything. i guess i'm just used to the gator vinyl trifold. i had almost nothing when i had that one on. being one solid piece helped i think

In your last pic, it shows the bracket that you hook onto when closing the cover... It looks like it's ABOVE the bed side... Is that correct?

Should NOT be sticking up like that..!:confused::confused: Mine seals real nice.... never get any more than a drop or 2...

That pic if with the old cover and it's just the angle. On the rear I am using the to holes in the brackets. I tried securing it more but unfortunately it's not supposed to rain here for another week

Mines about the same fwiw. The last hinge point lets in a couple of oz its heavy rain. The hinge is right on the gaps of the rail. Think we're shit outta luck.

One thing I might try is throwing a bead of rtv to closer the channels

RTV fixed my Bakflip G2 right up. I only get a drip or two on really heavy storms now.

Well i went a little bit more extreme, but it has essentially eliminated 95% of any water i was seeing. basically i took some marine/auto gasket seal and lined the top of my bed rails with it to be just inside the main gasket on the cover. i then put a bead of silicone along each side of the gasket. nice thing about silicone is if i don't like it, it peels right off leaving no residue.
