I recently lifted my truck 2 inches and I was wondering if I should get rid of my sway bar or keep it connected. What are the pros and cons of not having one.

Pro's better for actual Off Roading, Con's not a good idea if it is a daily driver and used back and forth on the highway and such

Off - better for off road. More body roll.
On - tighter control esp. in corners. Better control in aggressive maneuvering.

If you remove it with your factory coilovers, yes, you will certainly notice a significant amount of body rolls especially around corners and also during sudden stops at high speeds.

HOWEVER, if you have good quality coilovers with stiffer spring rates, you will not notice a difference when removing the sway bar. When I installed IVD coilovers, I finally removed my sway bar permanently and did not notice a difference at all.

Remove it you’ll have a better ride all around won’t be so bouncy on off camber roads. If you don’t like the way it drives slap it back on not to hard. If you tow frequently I’d suggest leaving it though. Took mine off after having my coil overs for 3 months an wish I had done it sooner.

I have 5100s with 885 coils - softer than your coils. Haven't had a sway on for a couple years. Happy with my decision.

Tempted. Not a daily driver. Maybe twice a week for local trips to the store. Bilstein 5100s and 887s. Feedback appreciated.

If you wheel it much, or very hard. Pull it and see what you think. If not. Leave it on.

I did the 886 OME coils up front for to handle the added weight when i put the bumper and winch. As of right now they had a the lift kit on for about 1,000 miles and im very happy with it. The ride quality is amazing.
