Front sway bar end links

Needing to replace my sway bar end links. OEM or aftermarket? I usually go with OEM on most parts. Just not sure if it’s necessary for the end links. Thanks.

 

I don't think this is one of those parts where it really matters. Find them from rockauto or where ever and don't think twice. Probably find them at a junk yard for $5 (guessing). Buying cheap ones won't cause your truck to explode on the highway like perhaps a more critical part might.

These are trucks, not sports cars. The only time you're probably putting a lot of stress on them is when off road, and you should just take them off for off roading anyway.

Depending on if you go wheelin or not, you might consider an aftermarket quick disconnect.

 

I've only got a 2 inch lift. I haven't seen any quick disconnect that are angled like the OEM.

 

I think they're out there, but are expensive. Probably best to make your own. I considered doing that, but was too lazy, so I just took the swaybar off entirely, lol...

I bought these and coupled them with Energy Suspension's sway bar bushing kit. Works great. The end links are great construction:

JUST MAKE SURE YOU BUY THE CORRECT END LINKS FOR YOUR YEAR TACOMA.

They vary from 98-00 to 01-04.

 

I keep seeing people using these, or ones similar. Mine are angle on both ends. Do you have a different type of sway bar?

 

Yeah, they changed up the angle at the ends from 98-00 to 01-04

The holes at the end of the 98-00 sway bar align vertically whereas the holes on the 01-04 align horizontally.

Does that makes sense?

Yeah it does. Do they make quick disconnects for the horizontal? I can’t seem to find any.

Anybody know which bushing set I need to get, with regard to my sway bar diameter? 27, 26, or 25? I have a 99 Prerunner v6, oem sway bar as far as I know. Also ordering the Preforged 11310179 end links from RockAuto.

I'm still waiting for my FSM to come it, so not sure where else to find this info.

Both my 98 and 04 are 27mm.

Just check the bushings. They are stamped on the side with size.
