I've seen how long it takes a fedex guy to scan a package. It's a long and complicated procedure that takes at least 1/6th of a second.

This story has bullshit written all over it.

I don't believe this is an issue with fedex, even if the driver really did take it without scanning it. Unless you can somehow convince the driver (if you can even find him) to admit he didn't scan the package "because he was in a hurry" (and soon to be out of a job if he did admit that), you're not going to get anywhere with FedEx.

You need to elevate this beyond the dumbass manager who either knows the package was lost/stolen and is covering it up, or handed the package over to fedex and didn't make sure the package hand off (IF there ever was one) was fully documented. Either way, the Walgreens staff is either criminal, or just incompetent.

IMO the best thing to do would be file a complaint with Walgreens corporate, but assume nothing beyond that will happen, then file a dispute with your credit card and order a new widget, and make sure to be home this time...

    100% agreed

Hardly doubt fed ex driver would “forget to scan”

I am positive this is Walgreens employees stealing packages

And once they said “oh this happens all the time” I figured how many other people are being victimized

I have drafted a letter to Walgreens corporate and will be sending it out tomorrow

I have also provided negative reviews on yelp and google and Opened a case with BBB and filed a complaint with California consumer complaints board

I am trying to make my voice heard

However I have failed at getting it heard in person with even involving store manager. They keep saying “don’t worry fed ex will credit money , do claim with them”

To me that is not satisfactory. Fed ex giving money back isn’t a cover for them to keep stealing stuff

If you have a way to let me know of district manager I can PM you store info for you to look it up

They've been flying under the radar for a while, skirting by on people not reporting this BS to walgreens corporate, and believing them that it's FedEx's problem.

Like I said, even IF they really did hand it back to FedEx 1) they had no reason to do so since they're supposed to hold it for a certain number of days anyway, and 2) they are, at a minimum incompetent for handing it off without getting it scanned.

If you're bored one day, you might even stake out the store, and wait for the FedEx guy to arrive, and chat him up about how many returns he typically gets from this store. Might shed some light on the situation, too.

Might even warrant a call to the local news station, they love this kind of shit, lol.

If walgreens and fedex both have no account for your missing package who can rule out a walgreens employee didn't jack your package??

Move it up the chain at FedEx and make sure that stupid store manager know's he was suppose to hold the package for more than a night.

sounds like walgreens is the culprit. Although we've had problems with fedex being lazy and not wanting to deliver to our house.

That's just it. Either an employee jacked the package, or the employee(s) were negligent and didn't follow procedures.

FWIW, you can’t file a claim with FedEx because you aren’t the customer involved.

You’re a customer of the vendor, vendor is a customer of FedEx. You are just a recipient.

Other logistics companies (UPS included) operate the same way.

This. My wife has been at Walgreen for ~2 years, and she can confirm that her coworkers, pharmacists, managers, etc, etc are the worst.
