    Dang I knew I should have found other things to do while I was in there. Is that in the same location as the power outlet relay?

    @Tsinajinii
    Awesome. Glad it helped. And glad to hear your daughters movies are no longer interrupted by your selfish needs for gasoline :rofl:

    I agree this is a great site with great resources available. So ya, thanks! Happy I was able to contribute a little something at least.

    FWIW, you can do the same thing to the power window relay so that the power windows work anytime. If I remember right, the PW relay is the middle one.

    Here is the bad boy that needs to be pulled and modded.

    Super easy and I love having power to charge my phone while phone is in truck. 20170716_154223.jpg 20170716_154232.jpg

    3 MONTH UPDATE:

    The Good News:
    this is one of the most useful mods I have done to my Taco! Love having constant 12V at the cig lighter to charge the tele when out grocery shopping or running errands for the wifey.

    The Bad News:
    I totally forgot that when I wired up my heated seats 2 years ago I tapped into the cig lighter for power to the switch as it was a safe way to ensure that when I turn the truck off the heated seats turn off and when I turn the ignition on in the mornings the heated seats would come on right away....well now that I have 12V constant at the cig lighter......and you get the point.

    No big deal, just gotta tap into something else that's opinion hot only.

    And a random awesome shot of the Taco from a recent trip to football heaven for me

    Yes, the P/W relay is the middle one. I soldered the contacts and I have P/W anytime. The very small LED in the drivers P/W switch stays illuminated all the time, but it would probably take 6 months for that to run the battery dead. If you haven't started it in 6 months, it's probably not going to start anyway.

    Hey guys! I just did this mod on my truck. I was wondering if any of y'alls trucks had this flashing on it after it was completed?

    It's supposed to be flashing. It was flashing before you modded it. It lets the meth heads know they can't start it with a screwdriver.

    Thanks for the info on this! Been annoyed for years by this. Took about 15 minutes total. Most of that was waiting on the soldering gun to warm up.
