11/16- Lift has been sold, bed rack still available. Since I’m no longer very active, I’ll include my phone number for the bed rack. 410-570-5554

Well, after finding a nasty rot hole in the frame, my Tacoma project has come to a very premature end. That said, I have a few parts for sale to help someone else progress their own project. First, a Bay Area Metal Fab bed rack. I’ve welded a plate on one side to mount a Rotopax-style jerry can to one side, and a high-lift to the other side. If desired I can include the Korbin jerry can for the right price. Don’t have any pictures of it bare, but you get the idea of the layout. Designed for a double cab, but as you can see also fits non-DC first gens as well.
    $450 obo with can.

Next is a 2-2.5” lift, consisting of OME 880s on Bilstein 5100s (set to second notch, but have been on the first notch since new) up front, and General KC 1.5” in the rear with 2” adjustable shackles. Rear leaf bushings have been replaced with poly OME units (comes with new shackles bushings as well), original front leaf bushings are still installed from General. $450 obo.

Will cut a deal for someone who buys both. Local pickup, but can arrange traveling to meet, will not ship. Shipping the rack alone was somewhere around $250 from BAMF.

Not interested in splitting up the lift at this time.

Nope, talked to Toyota and they said the recall for my vin ended in 2011.

I talked to a very reputable fab shop locally that I knew for a fact could fix it, they quoted around $1600+/- for the metal work, recommended another shop to soda blast it and coat it after, another $800-1k, then have the inside of the frame cavity waxed, another $2-300, plus front end work I wanted to do (ball joints, tie rods, etc.) and motor maintenance, by the end of it all, I’m looking at more than what I paid for it just to keep it as reliable as I need it to be.

At this point with it being my daily driver, it would be smarter to find a new expedition build. Breaks my heart to let it go, my first vehicle was a Tacoma identical to this one (minus the 5vz and 5-speed), so this has a lot of value to me :/ thankfully a friend is going to take it and attempt the frame patch, then use it as a daily while he builds his 2015 4runner. So at least it will see that 3-400k I wanted it to see.

Neither did I, until they finished building it! Besides missing out on shipping, you also miss out on the 4-6 week lead time haha.
