Tamlando (Tampa/Orlando) Meet @ Smokey Bones in Lakeland, FL (ONGOING)

if doing any off roading might bring 4R since its 4x4. I'm trying to work on getting my 4x2 taco off road capable

 

It's basically a Show & Shine meet. We show up, usually in a convoy from the east coast or the west coast, depending on which side you're closest to and park. Then once everyone is there, we go in and eat lunch, after which we hang out and admire each other's rigs, get inspired for new mods, and shoot the shit. Sometimes there's a wheeling trip afterwards for thems that's up for it, but I don't know if there's anything planned for this one. I usually skip it anyway because I've got snake syndrome after a good meal, so I just wanna go home and crash for a while.

Of course, I tend to skip the Show & Shine type meets altogether because I'm not that social and the OGT is mostly a trail rig that looks more and more each year like a stomped beer can, haha. Depends on how desperate I am for a good burger.

I've been to like two of those things out of how many? And how many local lunch meets have you seen me at (where I didn't just show up to drop something off and then leave)? What exactly are you calling bull crap on?

Because half the people at these meets talk to me. It's such a burden being (in)famous. Haha, I'm not (usually) rude, so if someone talks to me, I won't just ignore them and if I actually show up, then I'm usually mentally prepared to be more social than is normal for me. It's the actual showing up part that makes me not all that social.

Ayup, again though, there was a good burger involved and I was craving one pretty strongly. That was the first local meet I had been to since Andre's So Long Meet back in 2015 (IIRC). I did pop in to the 4R meet to drop off my sawzall to Frank, but I left right afterward.

I think I go to more mod days than I do Show & Shine Meets.
