OK, I am cutting the Dynomax off and putting a Flowmaster 40 Series on it. I honestly can't hear it, and want some sound. I understand the horsepower argument, but a muffler isn't significant enough for me to really care about horsepower. I just want a little more sound.

Does anyone know the part number for the Flowmaster 40 that would mount right up? Or a suggestion of a different muffler? Dynomax Super Turbo isn't going to cut it.

    Edit: Nevermind, found it.

Aero turbine 2525xl comes with built in resonator. I have it and it’s still loud without it being raspy. If you want loud go with just the 2525 version. Welded in perfect fit.

Already have the Flowmaster 40 in my living room waiting. I have used FM before so I know what it will sound like. I don't really want to keep experimenting and cutting things off (will be cutting the Dynomax off tomorrow). I have heard Aero Turbine is good, but I don't want to find out the hard way it's not what I want (again)!

I get tired of "loud" but honestly, I like it too much to not make the truck loud. I am going to dump it right out of the muffler, and have been looking at LT headers, so I guess I like loud.

In case anyone is wondering, a Flowmaster 40 dumped before the axle sounds awesome outside the truck. Not ricey at all, but you definitely hear the truck coming. Not too loud though. There is quite a bit of drone inside the cab at certain RPMs, but at cruising speed it’s not bad. I will give it some time, but may try to liven it up some more by messing with the cats/headers.
