    1999 tacoma trd off road
    i have a led light bar a tailgate signal bar custom stereo led lights on my front bumber
    i bought a cts 2 edge gauge monitoring system for my 1999 tacoma and my dad told me that it could put too much pressure on my truck i was wondering if anybody else got it and had any problems with their engine

    Their info page says its a "monitor".

    Its not changing any parameters from what i see... so, i see zero harm.

    Just don't leave it plugged in if you park your truck for a period of days - those scanners can have a constant draw at 100ma that will drain your battery. Ask me how I know :anonymous:

    You could get a $20 blue tooth OBD-II scanner that connects to your phone with a $10 app or a $170 scanguage II that does most of the same stuff:
