6spd Engine Surge??

    Been thru the first tank so far with the 07 TRD Off Road and have noticed that on the upshift their is alot of engine surge??? it will surge up 200 rpm's??? I don't know if I notice it more because i have the TRD CAI & Exhaust which makes the taco throaty, or if this is normal whith these trucks?? Anybody experience the same thing??

    This is normal for the drive-by-throttle computer controlled system. This is designed so as to prevent fuel from just being dumped into the converter. Snapping the throttle shut while accelerating and then hitting it again gives you a super rich condition. Destroys cats and sends emissions through the roof.
