since i got my 17, i've used the sliding rear window almost every day (except for cold days and rainy days). i'm kind of surprised there's no alarm to remind you it's open. the truck i had before either tacoma had an alarm for the rear window, but not the sunroof.

Just wish us Tacoma owners can have the one piece power windows like the Tundra that rolls all the way down and disappears into the bottom. With that and the sunroof it's like a convertible! Maybe in the 4th Gen in 2027

based on what i know about tacomas... it wouldn't be in 2027... that would be the first year of the new generation. they'd wait until the second year and only put it on the TRD models. then in the 3rd year of the generation it would be sr5 and up, but the button would move.

Send a suggestion to Toyota for a new set of warning chimes.

Any window left open sets it off. Or I guess just the rear window if that's all you forget.

But it needs to be able to be disabled via Techstream for those who don't want it. :D

Same. I've had mine open two times...mainly because I either A) forget about it or B) too lazy to reach back and open it manually.
