I can't believe you would do that to a perfectly good km2.

I just recently went through this exercise as well. The above looks like a good list. I would add some old upper and lower radiator hoses, some lengths of random vaccume/fuel hose and bailing wire. Those three items have bailed some friends out a few times using my spares. For a first gen that's about all you need since nothing really breaks on 33s, provided you have real Toyota CVs and not some parts house shit. That TRE puller is super helpful, I just got a $12 one from vatozone and holy shit is it useful. I would also carry some JB weld and a bottle of "the right stuff" 1min gasket maker.

And get a set of inverted torx sockets, you will need those if you ever break a CV shaft off inside the pax axle tube and have to take that tube off. I learned that the hard way.

Shit I forgot quick steel as well! I sealed a busted oil pan with that shit. Also torque wrench capable of going as high as a CV nut needs. And I know we are getting into crazy territory but I have used an angle grinder a number of times. Battery powered preferred but electric is okay if you have 2nd gens with inverters. I needed this when I blew my front diff and needed to make a 2wd kit. Also a 2wd kit is nice to have so you don't need to destroy good CV's to make one.

 True. I use both my cubbies, my tool box, a plano gun case, and a tub to fit it all. A lot of my stuff is based on tough wheeling trips though, wouldn't carry as much for less intense stuff.

Action packed for the win. I had a bed rail mounted tool box and could barely fit anything in there, with the action packer that's physically smaller I can fit everything and then some. As an added bonus the action packer doesn't get snagged on trees/rocks like that damn bed mounted box did.

I carry 2 spare driveshafts, 2 tool bags (one with tools, the other with u joints, zip ties, bailing wire, sealent etc) a spare steering box, a spare ps pump, an ammo can with spare hub parts, crawl box input shaft and mainshaft, 1 gallon of antifreeze, 1gallon of distilled water, 3 qts of gear lube, 3qts of atf, spare hydro hoses and fittings, a full set of TREs, misc ujoint yokes, and 2 rear axle shafts between the back of the bed and the box all with room left over to stuff my recovery gear in there. I couldn't even carry a third of that with the bed rail mounted tool box that took up a larger footprint. All that stuff will get me home provided I don't blow up the trans or get water in my motor and mess it up. Then again who's dumb enough to do that, right.....

I don't know anyone who has gotten water in their motor then proceeded to beat the shit out of it immediately afterwards ...

And ole Action Packer Mike will be super excited to read this post.

Practically. It's not the wheeling that bothers me, it's the 8+hr drive I have to take to reach anywhere cool to wheel! Most of it is if I have those parts with me, it won't break lol.
