    Just a heads up, you need to order a ball for each side and the arm in between. Got those off Amazon. It’s a nice product, you just need to paint.

    Looks great, this is exactly what I need. I have few questions if you don't mind. Do you have the Ram 2inch "short arm" for your application? also is it composite or the regular one? And which ball did you use? I've never used these Ram mounts before, there are so many items for sale on Amazon.
    Thx!

    The mob armor mount comes with a ball but the baofeng mount does not. So for the setup I have I ordered 3 balls and 2 arms.

    Received my mounts yesterday. Very fast service once the order was placed! Very excited to show this off to the group.

    For those who have done the install on 05-11. Was there any additional trimming required? I’m having clearance issues with the back plate on one of the supports for the panel.

    This is my first foray into the RAM line of mounts a

    I was really hoping that by reshaping the backing plate that this issue would go away; they went from small fillets in the corner to full rounds.

    I have only seen this issue on some of the dashes and believe that the solution has been to grind / sand off the corner where the interference is. If you are unable to resolve the issue I will mail you replacements but I do not have an 05-11 to test fit on so I will be making an educated guess.

    @desertjunkie760

    Looking at your pic a little closer it appears as though the overall height is causing the problem. If that is the case and you are unable to knock off a little bit of material let me know. It looks like you should be able to thin out the interfering areas or else I can cut down another set that I have here and will get them off to you. I don't mean for anyone to have to mod these things themselves but I also don't want you to have to repeatedly tear your dash apart. It's hard for me to tell from here but would using thinner double sided tape get you the clearance needed? That tape is pretty thick, I used it because it's the strongest stuff that I have here.

    ETA: keep us posted...

    Problem resolved. The height of the backing plate was the issue, however I was able to cut out the material needed out of the support with an exacto knofe and make it work. Tape was not apart of the problem in this case.

    Mounted up one side and looks great!

    Edit: I’ll add pics soon but I’m on the way out to the desert for an overnight trip. Wanted to get the obe side done in a time pinch.
