    2017 TRD OffRoad V6 manual.
3500 lbs dry, so no issue at all towing. Barely know its there - but we haven't taken it up the mountains yet, nor towed in high winds.

It came with a weight distribution hitch which helps - but the TRD OR suspension is so soft in the rear that while the front doesn't left much at all the rear droops quite a bit. We don't have all the parts we need to adjust the hitch right now, but will hopefully get it all sorted by spring.

We also got a Tekonsha P3 brake controller.

Taco mirrors are a tad too narrow. We want to get a rear view camera for the back of the Airstream but have figured out which is best.

Recently finished the platform for the back. We usually tent camp but the topper and drawers are nice to keep everything dry, secure, and organized. We’ll likely squeeze into the back on the platform when we do road trips though.
    • ARE V-series topper with tilt-down front sliding window, fabric headliner, LED battery dome light, black Vantech J-1000 roof rack, Vitamin Blue rack pads
    • Custom sleeping platform with full-length powdercoated drawers and three-piece red oak deck

Nice! So my idea for mine that you could easily do on your setup is to use those drawers partially open as a support for a 4th bed extension piece to make it a 6’ bed (or longer if desired) for sleeping - then put a custom tent covering on the back that fits between the open tailgate and raised rear. When not in use, simply store the extension board on top of the others and shut the drawers. We just cut out the back of a cheap Walmart dome tent to make ours, and so there’s a real tent door with mosquito netting as a rear door.

That’s a great idea! Thanks for that. I didn’t think about utilizing the drawers for that. There’s DAC tents as an option. Pretty pricey but I know people have used them successfully to extend the area around the topper.

Here’s a photo from another TW member of a DAC tent

I went with a SUV style tent to enclose my topper and have option to leave tailgate down.

Only downside is time to set up / take down, but I mostly do extended camping trips anyway. I was more worried about comfort from a "base" while camping.

Next up will be a platform for the "quicker" trips where I just need to sleep overnight (without clearing bed out).

Awesome, this is something that I am looking for. Do you have a brand or model for this tent? Thanks

Spent the weekend truck camping, glad I have a good sleeping bag and pad, it got down to 19 deg with a pretty good wind blowing.

I basically had the whole Forest to myself, there were a couple of hunters, but from the lack of shots I heard they were having a bad weekend.

I gotta say my Free Spirit tent held its own at Zion. High winds was not a problem and I didn’t hear any flapping issues. My tent kept us warm and the set up was too easy.
