First time using Fusso Coat. This is a Japanese wax that is claimed to last 12 months and is super hydrophobic.

To compare it to a common wax it goes on and off just like Meguiars ultimate paste wax, if you apply it thick then it takes more elbow grease. The recommended way to use is a thin layer up and down, wait 5-15 min depending on temperature outside and wipe it off. They say to do a 2 foot area at a time but I did 2 panels at a time and had no problems. Has a chemical smell to it, not pleasant like Other waxes. The black can is for darker color vehicles and the lighter can is for lighter color ones. I also used chemical guys clean slate wash to remove other waxes used previously.

I guess we’ll see how long it lasts. My truck stays outside all day in the Florida weather so it will be a good test. I also apply some Meguars synthetic spray wax when I wash it once a month. So far I am very happy with the results.

Here’s a few reviews I found on YouTube but there are more.

I found the best price on eBay for $26.95

Do any of you have any experience with the Fusso wax?

Its a coating not a “wax”.
So many products advertise themselves as odd names in the detailing world. The Ultimate Wax is actually a sealer, which is why I wouldn’t layer it with the Fusso. Its kinda a waste and it risks scratching your paint.

So in your mind the word wax on meguires is a sealant that lasts 6 months... I also washed the truck with chemical guys clean slate before applying the sealant.

Fusso cost is a sealant and meguars syntetic wax is a wax.

It’s common knowledge that the Megs is a sealant. Most people don’t understand the difference.

There is a difference between each of the following:

    Wax

    Sealer

    Coating
    —————————————-
    Waxes are natural waxes.

    Sealers are synthetic materials
(the term synthetic wax is almost oxymoronish).

Coatings are semi-permanent or permanent and actually bond to the paint.

I’m not 100% sure what Fusso is. Coat implies coating and it lasting 12 months means it for sure isn’t a wax.

I wish the detailing world was more like alcohol and had stricter advertising laws LOL.

Yea I see it can be kinda confusing. I’ll keep it in mind. I normally look for reviews and what they’re made of to determine if i will like it. Normally looking more for ease of use and longevity. I would love to have a ceramic coating but that looks like a lot of prep work. Kinda sucks this thread went from Fusso to a wax lesson. I was hopping someone would post on their experiences with this Fusso Coat lol my bad, for calling it a wax at the end.

The main things I’ve noticed is the Fusso shines a mirror like finish better than the ultimate wax. It hasn’t rained yet but I have noticed that the dew in the mornings slides off at a lower speed.

I am usually cruise Autogeek or Detailed Image for new products. Never heard of Fusso until you made this thread.

I have pretty much converted over to all coatings. I have only used one brand of coating (have 2 others to try) and it was just as easy if not easier than a wax or sealant.

Check this out That’s why I made the post. I ran a search on the forum and not one Fusso word anywhere. I stumbled across it by YouTubing best waxes, most of the results are your usual American ones but there are some that have the Fusso in it (mainly international people) so I gave it a shot. What is the one you use and what other 2 do you have in mind? (Yea I’ll bite)

I am currently used Optimum Gloss Coat on 4 different vehicles. I have Cquartz to try on my truck in the spring and GTechniq Crystal Serum Light with Exo for a friend.
