Does anyone know a company that makes extended fuel tanks for the 3rd gen?

I'm looking for something a little more permanent than a fuel can.

Many have spent countless hours of research. The only option is a ridiculously overpriced tank from Australia, which adds a minimal amount of fuel capacity for an insane amount of money.

    That's sad to hear.

Can anyone chime in with experience building a fuel tank. Can I enlist the help of a local fab shop to do something like this?

There is a company in Australia that makes them. A guy in San Diego had bought 2 and had them shipped and was selling the 2nd one. I think I saw that on another website called wander the west. That was several months back. I think they're about $1k, I'll look for more info.

    33.9 gallons

    Only for DCSB's 2005 to 2017

Not going to be much cheaper, will not be certified, will be sold without warrantee and for closed course use only. So if you can find someone to do this then go for it if you are ok with all of the disclaimers.

Regulations for fuel transport vary by jurisdiction (state, federal, international) so you are accepting a lot of risk especially if you are in an accident and there is a fuel breach. More so if there are injuries from your fuel breach and then there are environmental liabilities of a breach.

It isn’t a problem of IF it can be built. It is a question of does anyone want the liability.
