    Yup. Don't get me started on 'all season tires'. My commute takes me down a long steep hill that has a stream along side it. It tends to get slick. Almost all of the vehicles I've owned, I've bought studded snows for the winter.

    If I recall, they had some siping. I think it was one per knob. The ArticMax's have all sorts of siping. They're great on slushy ice and hard pack but really, really poor in deeper snow.

    Smittybilts are cheaper but these are supposed to be much better built

    EDIT; That one even supports an optional wireless controller and if you want it even cheaper you can get one with the cable instead
