Anyone shoot an AR9 suppressed? Am I going to have to change the buffer and spring?

When you built yours did you add the buffer spacer to the other side of the spring?
Disclaimer: I don't have an answer to your question, I'm building my first AR9 and am curious if it actually helps cycling.

No, no spacer. I think that's only needed for certain setups.

I have 7.5 oz buffer and a 308 spring. Runs flawlessly. Everyone's setup is going to be different though. I use a Spinta precision barrel and their bolt carrier group, I called them and asked what they recommended to figure out what I needed.

Thanks, I know they like the heavier spring due to the blowback design. But, damn that's a heavy buffer. I ordered the spacer anyway since it was only $10. I'll check with them to see what my options are.

You might be able to use a captive buffer spring set up depending on your bolt carrier. Mine is weighted, so I had to use a conventional setup.

Was a seriously good deal. I would have bought one, but Christmas has killed my fun money. I have a barrel and a bolt carrier group from them, I intend to get more. Great company, awesome customer service.

Nice! I have a slick side myself. Perfect for a 9mm build.
