2018 Grill Replacement

does anyone have any experience replacing the grill on a 2018 Tacoma with the heritage grill? I am wondering how you keep the toyota safety sence sensor working. Will the new heritage grill accept the radar sensor?

 

Doesn’t the PRO have safety sense?

 

Yes, just wondering if the sensor can just be unplugged and plugged back in. On the off road the sensor is behind the toyota logo

 

yes it has been done, yes the grill has a place for it, yet it bolts on with no trouble. I am not sure the owners name, he also put a piece of plexiglass in back of the grill but in front of the sensor. on the 18 pro toyota puts a piece of plexiglass in front of the grill

 

I see. Strange that the pro grill includes the mount but not the cover on the front.

 

i deleted the picture of the pro grill with the plastic on it, but with the plastic behind it covering the sensor it would be hard to clean, unlike the toyota emblem, just wipe off

 

Found this. I guess they just started including this on the heritage grills...or they anticipated the safety sensor
