I think everyone who doesn't relocate it first does this. I know mine didn't last more than two years. I looked into the dealer part, since I bent the bracket and cracked the plastic and everything. Mine was a lot newer then, so junkyards for 2nd Gen parts were pretty much out of the question. I went to Walmart. Unplugged the old one, cut the wires off and spliced the truck side plug to the new one, and never got around to putting it back on since I was going to put it in the or a new bumper and that hasn't happened yet. I tow so infrequently that I just pull it out and plug it up when I need it, though I do keep the truck side plug wrapped in plastic.

Still have some leaf springs that I'm getting tired of moving out of my way in the garage...

FREE to anyone that can come get them, stock TSB'd leaf springs from a 1st gen tacoma with super low miles, they are like brand new and will cure your saggy butt.

Located in Breckenridge, come and get them!

Heres a pic with stock front suspension and these leaf springs when they were installed, as you can see, no sag...

I think I paid $60 on Ebay for an OEM one from some Florida Toyota dealership.

I'm pretty sure that's a standard 7 pin RV plug back there, not too much OEM about it except for the TOYOTA label.

    What haven’t I changed?
I busted my old trailer connector on a rock as well. Replaced it with this because the mounting holes just happened to match my HC rear bumper:

    https://www.amazon.com/Hopkins-4848...50&sr=8-13&keywords=hopkins+trailer+connector

It's showing in stock at the Wal-mart on 287 in Lafayette for the same price :notsure:

The cap works pretty well too. Here's what mine looks like after not touching it for 2 years
