So is this degradation issue only with those that have the 04B10 ECU? My truck is a 2016 TRD sport manufactured March 2016. Not sure which ECU I have...

As far as throttle response goes, no. There have been reports of other ECU versions having similar degradation. Understand though, that it's still way better than stock (it's just not done yet).
I couldn't tell you with certainty either, since no one can say when Toyota switched to 04B11.

So my preorder has come through and now payment is request of $715. Before I throw my hard earned money on this tune are there any regrets about spending the cash? I was planning on installing the tune on a '18. Does the '18 have better mapping? Should I wait until I have the truck? Maybe some of the '18 owners can respond.

I'm 04B12 and I can say I feel like the throttle response has gotten "numb" for lack of a better word. It seemed good/okay when first flashed, but it isn't as crisp as it could/should be. 1.02C was better. Now, by no means is it as bad as it was with the stock tune. It is leaps and bounds better, I just think it isn't what it should be.

BTW everyone, I'm loving the 87 tune. $20/week left in my pocket, and I don't miss the minute power gain running 93. The low end torque is definitely still there and the truck runs nice and smooth. DEFCO is still annoying, but it is not nearly as abrupt and very manageable in traffic. I lost 1-2mpg, but I can't say for sure if it was the tune, my driving habits, or the gas stations switching over the the winter blend (no idea when the switch was).

You should be 04b11, as my truck is a couple of months older than yours and that ECU.

crazy thing is that this was my thinking on it too, I figured I would be the only guy out there in a truck but there were a few. There was a second gen guy, another third gen guy who hauled his motorcycle there in the bed, and then some other stuff, one bone stock mid-90s dodge dakota, and a Peterbilt (I think) freight truck with a dually bed on it. I wish I had a picture of that thing, it looked kinda like this :upload_2017-12-12_6-28-29.jpg

So no other dyno except the disappointment on the first page still? I feel like everyone who has one is basically a test subject and the same results can be had with a sprint booster.

Nope. I had a Sprint booster and the tune makes the Sprint booster useless in comparison. I sold it a couple days ago and haven't noticed a difference after taking off the SB with the tune. The tune is a lot closer to a real solution than the SB.

So you truck feels the same with the tune as with the SB? Or when you get the tune, it did the same thing as the SB so you removed the SB?

Neither. The tune actually does something, whereas the SB only 'feels' like it does something. When you load the tune for the first time you realize what a joke the Sprint booster is as a solution to not having enough low end grunt and torque out of the motor. I unplugged the SB and did not notice any negative effects going back to running only the tune so that's why I say it does ~nothing~.
