I got my 12k for $250. Had a busted motor and a bad remote, both of which I've gotten replaced for free and without having to ship anything to smittybilt. Can't beat that.

    This week's trip report:

    -Monday at RRG
-Explored new areas, found more of the DBBB
    Oil drums?
    20171211_120454.jpg
    20171211_124902.jpg

    Climbed a peak:
    20171211_122815.jpg

    I can make this...
    20171211_125833.jpg

    Not this...
    20171211_130006.jpg
Sign says "Cable Hill" at the top ^

-Camped out next to the mountain lake
-Started sleeting in the morning so I backed up, road some more of the DBBB and headed to Harlan

    Ate alaskan salmon every night
    20171212_173633.jpg

Harlan was frozen, but other than the two guys with chainsaws and a dozer, I saw ONE other vehicle on the mountain the two days I was there.

    Mine:
    20171213_142557.jpg

    Garage?
    20171213_140636.jpg

    The end
    20171213_140014.jpg

...but its actually not the end. I talked to one of the guys in the office: they are expanding and cutting more trails!! and some of them are already there. He made it seem like its ok to go ahead and ride on them...

    Also, just an FYI:
Putney trail head charges $15 per night for camping, Evarts charges $10 AND provides firewood!!! But it is free to camp up on the mountain - and with the logging going on, there's plenty of firewood if you know where to look.

I drove ALL of the green trails while there, and some of the blue, scouting out fun trails and camp sites - found a couple good group sites and a couple just for myself, along with lots of little playgrounds and obstacles

@Bluegrass Taco missed you on this one. I had plenty of fire to stay warm but it was still pretty cold. My gear was frozen to the ground Wednesday morning, along with frozen toothpaste and frozen contact lenses. Had a blast though

ask mike @11TRDTX how the kings feel (he likes answering this question )

Sounds like I did miss out... Home all day yesterday...with a sore throat and a bad ear ache. Probably wouldn't have been very comfortable sleeping in the cold, but the exploring an empty mountain sounds cool!

    Hey
I called the general rubber place here in lex
Do you think 0.60 compared to 0.93 will be that big a difference in thickness/durability?

Roughly 2/3rd" the thickness...What are you making out of it? Was 0.93 "marginal thickness"? Or was it more than adequate.

Usually, they can give you specs on tensile strength, etc...

7 pics just the dreaded X.

I've been up Cable Hill....in my 2nd Jeep and my '77 Bronco....close to 30 years ago. That's how long those trails have been in existence. You can make it....Just hit it faster!

The shale oil tanks....Is that @ RRG/Slade/DBBB? (Or Harlan) I recall a set of tanks IDENTICAL to those @ DBBB. Real close to Hollerwood ORP.

I am making new fender well liners out of it since I don't have any anymore with the fiberglass flares

0.90-93 is what has been recommended by the threads I've read through.
Not sure if that's because it's what was in stock or if there was another reason
But he only seemed to have 0.60 and something wayyyyyyy thicker
