    12/31/2017:
Sorry for the delayed update. I spoke with the folks at Switch Pros before Christmas. As many of you mentioned they were not too keen on the idea of a Group Buy. Their concern was that selling direct to users not only would generate more calls for install support but also lower the overall value of their product. The conversation went in two directions from here.

    1) What is the best way to get better pricing? I was directed to talk to my local distributor. I will be talking to a distributor that I know and will explore the ability to buy in bulk from them at a discount. I will use the updated list below to negotiate the best deal I can, I will provide an update later this week.

    2) How do they plan to earn repeat customers? I have an 8100 a solid state device with a long life span and will not "need" to upgrade it in the near future. The only reason to replace it would be to install the newer version. Obviously businesses ALWAYS want repeat customers. They are reviewing offering a discount to returning customers. I am waiting for an email that would outline how they plan to address this.

    Howdy,
As some of you may or may not know Switch-Pros is getting ready to release a new product the SP9100. There are a ton of new features like Higher power outputs, Customizable LED Colors and the ability to expand the base systems using add on modules. The best of these upgrades will be the ability to add up to an additional 3 controllers, up to 32 device outputs. As a happy user of the SP8100 I am excited to upgrade to the 9100 and would like to start a feeler thread to see how many comrades are willing to commit to ordering one. My hope is with enough participants we can negotiate better pricing. Please let me know if you are interested and If you are wanting a base kit and/or the expansion modules and the requested quantities of each. With this information I will contact Switch-Pros directly a see what kind of pricing I can get.

Switch pros is really really strict with their pricing policies.

I hope this works out for folks. I just bought an 8100 so I'm not in unfortunately.

I'd upgrade if it was for the right price! I have an 8100 now.

I wish they'd do some sort of upgrade/trade-in program or reduced pricing if you can prove ownership of an 8100 currently...give us early adopters of their technology a break!

If this goes through I will likely sell my current one off to help offset the cost of the new module.

Interesting thought. Well count me as interested in the 9100 if the price is reasonable.

Like @solscooter, I just recently (like a week ago honestly haha) purchased/received my 8100, so I’m out :/ It was basically impossible to get any price deduction and I looked/waited for nearly a year, including one GB that got canceled once they got wind of it. They’ve got a really awesome product so I can’t really blame them, but at the same time, when these threads come up there’s usually a TON of interest.

Good luck OP! This new one looks pretty awesome but 8100 does everything I need and more

I'm thinking that unless we can get 20-30 people onboard this may not happen, But its a feeler so no harm no foul!

Interested, but as a previous post mentioned, they have a strict MAP policy. One can wish (and try!)

I want one. I doubt you’ll get any dealer to bite on a GB. SwitchPro has dropped the hammer on lower pricing.

Definitely interested. Or possibly interested in a lightly used 8100 from one of you early adopters.
