6736F926-E671-4C86-9909-8B317739AF75.jpg Looks like I need a new door... Lady jumped the green light before I was through the intersection. Their word against mine, and the cop gave me the ticket. Still have to see what my insurance company says but based on the police report I’m currently at fault.

Hoping to find a used door, somewhere within a few hours of northeast PA. If anyone knows of one it would be greatly appreciated. It’s a 2008 regular cab.

Also does anyone know if an access cab or four door uses the same front doors?

I'm pretty sure a regular cab door is different than a 4 door or access cab

They aren't the same, the top and bottom corners are alot more rounded on a regular cab

Usually when you get hit that far down the vehicle they deem the other driver at fault. Are you sure she jumped the light or did you run the light?

I’m not really sure what happened. I had a green light when I entered the intersection. I was turning left on the cross street and I saw the light changed yellow, then red, then smash. I never saw her coming. Could have been my fault, we all make mistakes at some point. But she hit me the instant the light turned red.

I’ve replayed it in my head 100 times. I was sitting at the red light. It turned green, I looked both ways and pulled out. Who knows, I could have screwed it up. I told the cop what I thought happened, he asked the lady what she thought happened, I got the ticket.

Yes, light was red when I got to the intersection. I stopped, waited for the green light. Then pulled out. Pretty basic driving I thought. I’m fighting the ticket and have to talk to my insurance but my guess is because the cop initially gave me a ticket I’ll still be at fault.
At this point I just need to get it fixed, maybe I’ll get lucky and find a black door to save me some money at the body shop.

That is what I thought. Apparently her story was more believable.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
So, swing by the police station on your way to work and charge her with those two things and have a great day!

Spoke with them this morning. They said my best bet was to go to the court date and request a supporting deposition from the officer. I can charge the lady all I want but if I don’t get my ticket reversed first I’m still at fault in the insurance company eye.

Sorry to see this OP. I have a co worker from the Boston area who has one good right eye. He pulls out of parking lots and intersections like this all the time and it drives me nuts because of similar situations he causes and thinks he is in the right. At the same time, I am impressed that he is still alive. Hope you can get a new door as I know they arnt as common as one would think.
