    To protect from rock damage. When you drop your front wheel off a ledge that spot can take a hit. You can pull the exhaust with them in place, so they are not for theft.

    Here is a pic of them with a urd crossover pipe.

    Does the Pro really not have them? I've got a 2016 SR5 and I've got them. I assumed it was a frame strengthening thing.

    They're guards for the catalytic converters. I have a pair lying around that I removed when I installed my Pelfreybilt skids. They're scratched up a bit from rock encounters. I live is SD, and anyone who wants them can have them if they reach me before I pitch them into the dumpster.
