It was a suggestion for a starting point for valving. As you know every truck will be a little different. Not to mention getting it right takes time. I would bet you will be satisfied if you went down to an 8 on rebound (I am). If you think about it adding weight will only really affect comp. The weight of your axel, tires, and rims affect the rebound aspect. As others stated in your thread it might not be dropping out fast enough because of the stiffer rebound. That and real hydro bumps, I think will have a profound effect. This is just my opinion though and I am no professional. All in all I have seen much worse. I have removed 0 leafs out of the 10 pack and have 0 complaints. Good luck.

How much lift are you guys typically getting in the rear from the defined kit? I saw that the website says about two inches, but I would like to maintain my at least 3" of lift for when I go to larger tires.

Any idea how the kit performs with a shackle flip and longer shackles? (I think the factory shackle is pretty ugly and longer shackles could give my that extra inch of lift)

Hahaha, unless your truck is a time machine it wasn't me. I haven't been up in that neck of the woods in years. I have seen a truck identical to mine once as well, except it had fiberglass.

I think I only got like 12” of travel from this kit...either way not very good. I’d rather go with like a dmz kit and do shock hoops under the bed.

defined does not make this kit anymore, but TC does and so does Archive Garage. I'm just waiting for Archive's new shackle kit and should be pulling 14" with the new shackles. currently only maybe 10" with the stock shackle.
I have: u540/539 deavers (same exact springs as Defined), 14x25 RR kings, Archive Garage shock towers

For the most part, 14 is the max underneath the bed. Some guys are using archive garage's 14 inch shock relocation for the rear so they don't need a bed cage and keep the bed sealed. Archive pretty much has you weld to a fixed location on the frame so the install is straight forward, but it will need to be welded.

Archive sells the same springs as TC and Defined, only thing that is their's are the shock mounts for 14" shocks and the new shackles they just came out with (I was in the first batch and have yet to get them, lol)
