    Hi There -

My truck (V6 AT) is occasionally stuck in park and will not shift to reverse etc. This occurs probably 60% of the time I currently start my truck. When it occurs, I usually have to cycle through depressing the brake peddle several times and then it shifts. I have read several threads about sensors and trailer brake light wiring impacting the shift lock, but I can't pin point the issue with my truck. Anyone have any insight or a thread to direct me to that I have not yet found.

    Thanks!
    J

Have you checked the brake switch. That is what activates the unlocking of the shift lock solenoid.

Just realized I never closed this issue of for others to reference...

@Jimmyh was correct (Thank You) - The Brake Switch was faulty. Its primarily called the Brake Light Sensor but controls both the solenoid for shifting our of park and brake lights.
