Oh I hear ya. If I couldn't have put the Winch up front like I did it was getting the ARB. Winch's are funny add ons. You seldom really use them but its that one time that you are 30 miles off road and it saves you. Had that be the case several times off turkey and pig hunting. The cost of the winch was covered by that one event.

Arb bar (we call them bull bars ) saved two work colleagues when they hit a cow at 60mph in their Hilux. They past another car comming toward them at night and didn't even see it so no braking.

Glad they are OK. Here in Thailand the animal one has to dodge are Elephants. Yes I said Elephants. Sounds funny I know. I have run across a few on my Yamaha R3 when blazing up in the mountains. Its a crazy site but you have to avoid them as some of the bulls are downright mean and will chase you. Far cry coming from the US where we occasionally might clip a deer

Here is a pic that made the local news up by where I live.

Imagine my surprise. I mean I knew they were around but not that many and never expected to be swinging through a turn on my moto to come up on a big Mama standing there. I grabbed me a big handful of brake, dropped a few gears, turned and was gone. Do they make ARB Bull bars for motorcycles. HAHAHA

I seen a handful of these over in the UK during my last work trip- its akin to what Chevy/GMC released in the US. Its got a car-like front end, a modernized euro rear end (ie. a trendy rear which will look stale in 8-10 years) , but still has the truck heft. I'm sure if Hilux were to be released here, we wouldn't like it or it would be polarizing preferences- so we get a more muscular looking Tacoma with the big and empty, hollowed out grill.

Everyone should be excited for the return of the Ford Ranger - the one they are bringing here has been around for a few years - its a nice looking truck - pictures cant capture its angles.

How about driving feel? Ride quality? Seat comfort? Cab space? Is Hilux all hard plastic like a Taco? I know those are all personal preference things but still curious.

For the rest of the world Hilux is as common as dirt. Tacoma is the rare beast that everyone wants to get their hands on. We’re living the dream boys. I wouldn’t wish otherwise.
