Ok I know this is probably a dumb question but I’m really not sure how this works. So I had the shop take the sensors out of my existing stock wheels and tires and put them on my SCS F5’s wrapped in new Wildpeaks. So now I have stock wheels and tires sitting in the garage but they don’t have valve stems so I can’t inflate them. How hard is it to “install” valve stems so I can pump up the old wheels? My other question is since it doesn’t look like the tire is flush... when I pump it up will it hold air?155C1ED7-2CE8-41E2-B95D-299B06FBD495.jpgABFD0ED0-1D7F-4C6A-B495-882030471F37.jpgDE1D4579-F1F1-40F3-A5A9-9E59BD679A53.jpg

For a standard valve stem, they are installed from the inside. There is a simple tool that is a straight round bar with a hinge at one end; that you put through the hole, thread it on to the valve stem, then pull it through; the hinge part helps you get leverage to pull it through. So you would need to break the bead and get a stem inside to do this.

Now there are some that can be installed from the outside, but I believe those are considered just a temporary/emergency, get me off the trail and back home, solution.

Just noticed that the bead isn’t set on those yet; might not be too difficult to get a stem in. But as Bluebear said, probably wouldn’t worry about it, the buyer might want to put they’re Tpms in or something.

You’ll want the bead unseated like it is now to get the valve stem in. I’m not sure what size valve stem those wheels need, I wanna say tr413? But don’t quote me on that. They install from the inside out, and you pull them through till they seat in the hole. As far as getting the bead of the tire to seat on the bead of the wheel, what I like to do is remove the valve core, spray a little windex on the tire bead and fill that puppy up. You don’t need ratchet straps. The bead’ll pop on, and the windex just provides a little lube. It evaporates quickly.

Pop a valve stem in it and air up tires. Simple. The bead isn't seated right now so it's easy.

So I swung by a tire shop because they lost the lugnut key for my wife’s grand Cherokee so they owed me a new one. Once I was there I asked how much to just throw some vavles and they did it for me for free.
