Touching up sliders?

    5100s, methods, generalat2, trail gear sliders
    I drive a lot of sand roads and they seem to just eat up the powder coat on my sliders. Ive tried retouching them with spray paint, bed liner, etc, and nothing seems to stick around for too long. Anyone come up with any genius ideas to stop that? Ive even thought about making some kind of plastic cover for the bottom for when I'm running around and sand and gravel roads. idk. let me hear your thoughts

    Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
    Lose the powder, and just use self etching primer and shooter’s choice rustoleum for color. Bedliner coating would stand up better to the sand but the only way to touch up powder is to strip and re-powder.

    Fox/Dakar with Relentless goodies and stuff
    Usually paint not sticking means the part needs better prep. I used 2 coats of self etching primer on my sliders after cleaning the bare metal with acetone then 3 coats of rattle can bedliner and they are holding up pretty well.

    This surprises me. I too drive a lot of dirt and gravel roads and nothing takes the paint off my sliders except actually dragging them on rocks. I just used self etching rattle can primer then black spray paint. How many miles before you start to notice it?
