    Hey all,

So there isn't much info on the company Doetsch Tech out there, and the little there is goes back to ~2010. Does anybody have any actual hands-on experience or knowledge of their product beyond conjecture? I had a 1st Gen SCSB back in the day and put a set of (don't remember which) their shocks on the back and from what I remember they worked well.

I have a 2nd Gen DCSB now that I'm going to lift and my likely route is 5100s all around or 5100s up from with OMEs in the rear. Part of me wants to try DT out back again just out of curiosity and see how they are.

    Here's the link:

    Thanks gents

Pretty sure these are either chinese crap, or relabeled Monroe/Gabriel. Would not touch with 10ft pole.

Anything at all to substantiate that?

I had duals on the front of an 88 about 17 years ago. It performed well if I remember correctly. I never had any issues with them, but that was a long time ago.

I used to run them on lowered trucks about 15 years ago, they worked really well, then they moved onto lifted trucks, but have not heard much from them.

    stuff...
I ran them on a Jeep grand Cherokee. It was an upgrade shock package with a lift kit from Iron Rock Offroad. Kit performed well, but those were the prerunner series, pretty low end stuff.

I have 5100s and they work great for the price range. If you're going for the full rebuildable coilover route, just stick with King or ADS. Tried and true.

Know your goals. Not how you 'might' use the truck, but how you will use it 80% of the time.

    Know your current available funds.

Call Marie @HeadstongOffroad and tell her your goals. If what she recommends is outside your current funds, save more.

Their shop was local to me in San Diego. My son's 2001 Tacoma had a set of their coilovers on but had Tundra coils. I took them in, had them rebuilt and correct coils put on. The rode really well but only got a small amount of desert running on them before we sold the truck. They are US made and they race their product. Kind of seem like a small brand tho, don't hear much about them.
