Back when I was into hitting trees on dirt bikes, we had a tradition. It was a New Years Day trail ride. Thought was to start the year off by doing what we enjoyed. Rationalization was, that would give you good luck and great Karma for the rest of the year.

Jury is still out on if that actually worked or not, but it sure sounds good!

So...How about a day on the trails to start the year? Most "central" location is RRG. Weather condition could dictate how intense of a trail we take, or even if we make it there. If weather says stay off the trails, we just meet and have lunch.

Throw your ideas in the mix. Doesn't have to happen, but why the hell NOT?

BTW..New Years Day is a MONDAY this year.

Got a couple locals interested in NYD. There's a power line right-of-way just across the Ohio River in Southern Indiana. We started running these trails in the early '70's. Sort of a miniature version of Black Mountain. (ie rocks and hills and rocky hills) I'm looking for a couple brave souls in Tacoma's.

Doesn't seem to be much interest so far.

What is the exact location you are trying to do? I want to see how far of a drive will it be from Fort Wayne.

Looks like my planner decided on other things on NYD.
