I carry the same. Plus a Spot beacon so I can also send periodic "OK" messages a few times a day to keep family members from worrying.

I have an EPIRB but went to a SPOT a couple of years ago.

I figure I gave up some potential SHTF functionality for more practical usage to me. Sure, I'd trust the USAF and NOAA to handle a SAR more than GEOS in a real emergency but 99% of the time breadcrumbs and an email to my wife are really what I need.

Yes....I carry the ACR. It's NOT AAA!

Gotta be a life-threatening situation to activate.

I carry it backpacking, and dirt bike riding that takes me 100miles deep into Utah backcountry.

Yeah, but I use it to light up long stuff sticking way past the back of the truck.

Have a Delorme inReach (newer ones are Garmin inReach). Carry it when out wheeling as a backup. A few years back I was on a mountain in Colorado and a person from another party took a bad fall, and the inreach made the difference in getting SAR there sooner (no cell. The folks from GEOS quickly connected me with the county sherriff’s office, and in a fairly tight valley we were able to get a message out every 5-10 minutes. From that experience, I have confidence in the system behind the inreach. Also, the maps on the app that comes with it are pretty nice.
