Does anyone know how to remove the rear faux chrome bumpers on a 2017 in order to paint them?

And do you have any suggestions as to how to paint them?

I hate the faux chrome and wish to paint it the same color of the body - black. A buddy of mine used a thick, rubbery paint coat that has a rough or matte look to it on some of his chrome parts (rims, grill, etc.). Not sure if I want that, would like it to look like body - clean, smooth and shiny. aka factory.

    -thx

I'm thinking plasti-dip would work, I want to get rid of the stupid fake chrome as well.

I think it beats paying $100+ for the black unpainted end caps, I may just sand mine down and rattle can them flat black though
