    Yeah what a noob!!!1

    :jerkoff:
And to all you people bitching, eventually they'll never be a new thread started because all of it will have been stated before and could be found using the search. Would you rather that...? Even though stuff does get repeated fairly often, I think it keeps things fresh in a way imo. There won't always be something no ones EVER posted about.

Thanks to "CNEDEER" for saying what nobody else has said about negative comments on Tacoma World.

What interested me in Tacoma world last fall was the number of members that were willing to help share their knowledge and experience with other members. I'm older then most on TW and purchased my first Tacoma late last year. I've never lifted or customized any vehicle in my life so this is all new to me. If I should ask a question about tires, wheels or lifts that annoys you,,,,,,,,,Just don't reply. My knowledge about building a truck has increased quite a bit thanks to the members that are willing to help others. Let's keep the site positive!

Nice job using the search button. And nice job calling somebody an ass on your very first post. And finally, nice job resurrecting a thread from 2012.

Thanks! It does get frustrating, from both sides. As a long time Jeep guy noobs always ask the same questions and it gets annoying. I just bought the girlfriend a taco and I have no idea what I'm doing. So, when I googled it and it told me to google it, that gets frustrating too. God forbid something in my garage stays stock for more than a week. Sound like 33's on 3 is kinda the standard and that's what I needed to know. but this is the very first post that popped up when I used google.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Didn't want to post a thread "that has been answered 1000 times."

So look guys... I used the search function. (and while I was here, I went ahead and resurrected a 5 year old thread)

The old "use the search function" line does have it's faults :proposetoast:

But... from what I'm seeing 32x10.5 is about as big as I want to go with a 3 inch lift... so I think I found my answer

I'm going to put on km2 33x10.5-15's on my 2000 with stock rims next week. Stock rear leafs and 5100's set at the middle notch. I got 1.5 inches from the front lift. I'll let you know exactly how it works out. I'm not going to trim anything until they are on and I stuff them. The km2's have a narrow tred....8 inches wide. The ko2 has a 8.5 inch tred with the same size tire. From my measurements I should have a 1/4 inch clearance everywhere except the frame at full lock.....which I can live with.

Sounds good. I'm going to be doing my first lift next month so doing tire research and all that. I'll be using my stock 16" wheels with what is looking to be the same size tire you're going. 255/85 16. Keep us posted

That's perfect for that application, that's my setup! At full lock can't barely feel the tires rub frame, but a tiny bit of paint on both sides of my frame are wearing, no biggie I've got paint.

Are you running the stock rims with those tires? How bout UCA's are they stock? Going OME nitro's with the 882 coils and Dakar leafs.

I am running 285/75R16D BFGs on my stock 16x7 rims with 3"-3-1/2" of lift. No rubbing on UCA (Total Chaos), but rubs on frame at full steering wheel input. I have been trying to find a set of 16x8 rims with better offset to push the tires outboard, but haven't found anything I like. The closest I have come is a company called SCS, but they don't offer center caps and I don't like that look.

I got my 33x10.5r15 km2's put on last night. With 5100's set at the middle notch and stock rear leafs. No rubbing front or rear. I did the pinch weld mod just in case the tire shop freaked out if it rubbed. I did my pinch weld differently. I cut off the little bottom tab, then put a horizontal cut at the top of the pinch where it becomes flush with the firewall/inner fender, then hammered it flat. I put all the plastic back in without trimming. I used a torch to warm the plastic and remolded it to the flattened pinch. The only part I cut was at the bottom to be flush with the bottom of the truck. 20171118_082507.jpg 20171118_082616.jpg

I know I am very late... just hoping for some last bit of help. I dont want to use spacers, but i would have to get a 10inch tire for it to stick out?!?! i only want it sticking out a little bit, nothing crazy at all.

I was thinking maybe these, let me know. https://www.ebay.com/i/252582550138?chn=ps

Nice tires for a price not as expensive as some bfgs. sorry for being so late on this thread :)
