Since I’m not getting anywhere in the tire/ wheel section. Figured I’d see if anyone had input from my area.

i can’t find any recent experience with people running these tires. Super swamper iroks, boggers, tsl, and LTB.

Anyone in with recent experience? Will have some occasional Road use just to get to the local trails.

Will be running or would like to run 40-43” tall by 13.5-16 wide on 17” wheels.
Any info would be awesome. Thanks guys.

I know a lot of people run all of those but they are all trailered rigs.. I'd go with Iroks if I were you.
Pitbulls are also a really common tire. Personally I run 40" nitto's because I drive mine on the street a good amount and they have been amazing tires.

    Thanks for the input!
    Which nittos???
Only issue I have with iroks is the tread depth brand new is the least out of all of them.

Nitto trail grapplers. In my opinion they have the best side wall tread of any mud terrain road going tire I've seen. But they only have it in the 40"

    What's the tread depth?

I ran pitbull mad dogs bias ply on my old 1st gen mini truck. They where really soft compound so street usage wore them quick, I also had to keep them around 12-15psi just to get them to wear right. Anything above 20psi and they would balloon. Haven't ran the tsl/iroks but my buddy ran a set of iroks bias ply on his 4 runner and used bb's in the tire to balance on beadlocks. Another buddy ran boggers on his crawler but he comp cut and it was strictly a trailer rig with the random street use during certain circumstances.

    Whats your trails?

If we're talking snow or slimy hardpack, then I like the ltb best. The advantage to the irok is that you can get it in a radial, but you lose a bit of tread depth and the larger void spaces between the lugs are too much imo. The problem with everything you mentioned up there is how fast it wears if you street it at all.

One item that looks real good to me if you didn't street it at all would be cut tsl/sx. You can damn near make a knobby out of that tire.

I'm currently running a set of stock sized tryxus m/t on a truck with no lift. Basically little brother to the ltb. Amazing effing tires. But seriously don't underestimate how quick the soft interco compounds will wear. Trailering your rig will become a money saver rather than a convenience.

My buddies have iroks and they seem like they kick ass. And they have been running them on the road here and there and are wearing very well. But they have really light Jeeps.
The wear doesn’t really bug me because it is what it is.
These are going to be used in all types of terrains, deep snow, mud, slimy trails, dry crap. Everything, wherever I end up. Just trying to find a decent tire that will work all around with street use minimal. I estimate this truck being around 6k lbs too so that has to be added into the factors along with the torque this engine will produce.

The iroks off the top of my head have like 24/32 of tread.
    LTB have 26/32
    Boggers have 30/32.
    And can’t remember the tsl’s

I ran 39.5 iroks on my old Toyota. The only wheeling that truck seen was snow. For a large tire, I think the iroks are the best for snow.
