TRD Pro Grille for $140?

The listing was deleted a few days after I made the purchase. I don’t remember what it said but I’m happy to have the old chrome eyesore gone. It’s just a little more work on my end.

 

Bummer, dude. That guy is a crook. I think I was the one of the first on here to get scammed by him but it appears hundreds have since been scammed. He changed his name to reliable.deal and was up to his old tricks. I reported both names to eBay and they supposedly kicked him off but I’m sure he will just open up under yet another name. We all need to turn this idiot in. Best of luck to you. I still have not ordered another one because I’m afraid of getting burned again.

I ordered a second grille from Bruceshark-001 once I saw that the Malaysia grille was shipped via epacket. The second package (an actual TRD grille) arrived in 4 days and looks great. $134, but I haven’t had a chance to install it yet.

Would you mind maybe sharing a few pics, where the plexi is installed, what to mount/plug where..etc? I just ordered a chinese one for my 2018 and the TSS stuff is making me nervous. Thanks for the help!

 

It's really easy. Unscrew 3 screws, the sensor drops out. Detach a few quick snap clips holding the sensor wiring to the grille. Swap out to the new grille, screw sensor back on to the new grille with the same hardware you removed from the 2018. If you want you can cut a piece of plexi 3" and attach it to the backside of the grille insert with some double sided tape. Zip tie the wires to the grille, done.
I did leave the sensor clipped in to the wiring, not sure if it matters if you quick detach it or not. I was worried about possibly resetting the calibration so I left it plugged in.

I make no guarantees the pre-collision is calibrated correctly 100%, but it seems to be fine. I don't have a way to test it without driving into another vehicle I know it will disable itself if something is out of whack, so far no issues.

 

I would put a piece of plexi glass in to protect the sensor. I would worry a rock could take out the sensor. Rumour has.it the sensor is worth $3K.

 

Where did you get the TRD emblem from?

 

The grill I bought off eBay has a removable center piece (the part that says "toyota") Does anybody sell just the center piece of the pro grill? I would like an extra.

 

My grille from areyourshop was just updated as arriving in the US after a week of no updates. If you aren't seeing frequent updates on your chinese shipment I think it's because of the holiday overload.

Yes, that is the first seller I purchased from on 11/3/17. It was white plastic that was poorly spray painted black. Hopefully he has updated his supply. I could not leave negative feedback since I received a refund.

 

I noticed that areyourshop is offering a pro grill that has red TRD lettering just under removable Toyota lettering.

 

Just order one from areyourshop for my 2018 Quicksand TRD OR. Anybody want to buy a 2018 grille?

Conformation says delevery between 12/28 - 1/5 but i find that hard to believe
