I almost always hate redesigns for the first couple of years (3rd gen Taco is finally growing on me, but I still can't stand the shitty JK). I really like the JL. The Rubicon model is impressive. Solid front axle, 6-speed, manual 4x4 lever, and it can clear 35s on stock suspension. I love the return of the TJ-esq flat grille and flat hood.

I'll be curious what configurations will be available with the diesel and truck when they're released.

    Mall landscaping pin stripes.
That blind spot though, makes the FJC look like a glass house.

^It's OK, the vehicle isn't street-legal in many states anyway...

I'm slightly amused at the two spacers stacked together so they can re-use the factory bumpstops.

I’m not going to lie.... I have a crush on these new JLs... Enough of one that I actually placed an order for one last Saturday. Wasn’t going to do it until they released the diesel, but I’ve since convinced myself that I won’t fork over (potentially) $5K more, on top of the already steep prices for Rubicons.

With that, I suppose you guys will see an ad on here for my TRD Pro going up for sale already! Just have to wait until I’ve been a member for 30 days....

You got a rubi? Congrats man. I can’t wait to buy one in a couple years. The attention to detail is awesome. They took the JK and refined it in a lot of ways.

Sure did! It should look a little something like this when she’s complete (except I got the steel bumpers). Negotiated 10% off MSRP at a higher volume dealer, so I’m not going to complain. I even have a trade value on the TRD Pro that is more than doable, as long as I keep it under 5000 miles.

6 Speed Manual is the answer for half the issues I’ve seen with the first batch of JLs

Too many but also not enough mods
I've been saying a bunch of JLs lately, they do look alot better than the JK
