Hello!! Just recently bought a used 2008 Tacoma Extended cab. I've added chrome nerf bars and a Tonneau cover. My overhead console has the sunglasses holder and garage remote holder. I'd like to switch it out for the temp and compass. Any info would be highly appreciated. Are the needed electric harness already there? Do I need to install the outside ambient sensor module? And is that harness already there? My Tacoma did NOT get a new frame, it was coated. As this was done before I owned it. Now the coating is flaking off, so I'm going to wire brush it in the spring and use Corroseal and then paint. Feel free to tell me anything you think I should know.

Welcome to TW! The overhead console pops off easily so you should be able to see if it's prewired for anything extra.
