I know its only October but free time is few and far between on weekends and i have some this weekend.

Thinking about giving her a full detail and sealant for the winter months before i have no time and its too late.

Going to use the standard Menzerna AIO after clay but im debating whether i want to use
-Klasse (like i always do for winter protection)
    or
    -Meguiars fast finish spray

I usually top with good old Megs #16 around December but i also have CG blitz and extreme top coat laying around.

    Descisions, descisions...

I have some overspray on my truck from work, so I need to do a full clay and polish. I have a new nanoskin mitt to try out. Then plan out finishing it off with CQuartz ceramic coating. Going to do a full detail on a friend's '06 Mustang and plan to use GTechniq Crystal Serum Light topped with GTechniq EXO.

That is what I applied to my truck last week. Talk about easy. It states it last up to a year but even if it gets me to April I'll be happy. Stuff is so easy to apply I may do it once a month. I'll probably never use anything else. (And I have a new bottle of Meguiar's Ultra Polishing Wax!)

I have used their C4 trim coat and it is a solid product. Can't wait to use the Crystal Serum.

State decided to chip and tar the road I live on. Went to wash my truck yesterday & it is covered in gritty tar. Damn paint feel like 300 grit sandpaper in spots (no exaggeration). Hoping clay bar & a good polish with my Griot's DA will get it back in shape. I purchased a bottle of 3D HD Polish to use with my DA and a bottle of Optimum Opti-Seal to seal the paint when done.

Do not continuously add layers to a sealer.
Its a waste of money and eventually will haze the finish.
Plus claying your truck once a month before an application is grossly time consuming.

A quality sealer lasts as long as you care for it properly.

I am not trying anything special this winter.

Truck needs a good wash and reapplication of Jet Seal. Plus I'd like to treat all my trim and rubbers too.

Agreed, almost too easy. Beads well also. I used aquawax as a detailer all summer on top of it and the shine/protection was pretty rediculous.

I use DG Aquawax after every wash also. I rinsed the bugs and dust/spiderwebs off it today and everything just slid right off. I'm liking this Megs Fast Finish!

Wasn’t able to get a full paint correction and new coating applied. So I washed, flayed with new Nanoskin mitt (loved it), then put down some Adams Quick Sealant (no longer made), topped with Wolfgang Fuzion wax, the. Today for shits and giggles applied Carpro Essence plus on top. Truck looks decent for half-assed retail job.

No longer own a taco but still pop in here from time to time. Got sonax polymer netshield on the chevy. Put it on over a month ago and it is fantastic. Unreal beading/sheeting, (white) truck still looks pretty clean considering it hasn't been touched since application. Far cleaner than when I was waxing it regularly. Just saw Gyeon's new stuff for 2018, going to try the q2 One come springtime. Looks quite impressive.

I'd love to try some new stuff, but I have a problem. Every year (for many, many years), I'd buy a bunch of new products to try either on my vehicles or a customer vehicle. But one can only try so many products and many of the products I already have and use work just fine. So I eventually ended up with tons of product that I either tried and didn't like, tried, but found to be equivalent to something I already had too much of, or tried and liked better than something I was already using. (Unfortunately, the latter tended to be the minority.) In any case, I have way too many containers of various detailing products to use in the foreseeable future.

So this year, I decided to not get any new products and just continue using / use up some of the stuff I already have. Once I get back down to a reasonable level, I'll try some new stuff.

I wanted to try out a new gyeon coating on my truck, along with kamikaze miyabe on another vehicle..

but my one free week is now up haha. I still need to head over to the one of the local stores and pick up some ONR and refill on some other products. I’ll probably try out carpro perl though.
