Is that like a chain liquor store? I haven't heard of it. I've seen them pop up in Whole Foods in Brea a few times and a liquor store with a really good craft beer section near Disneyland gets them pretty often as well. But I'm too lazy to drive to pick up beer haha. Maybe next time they post up they have Picninc Lightning I'll have to go pick up a pack though. That one's surprisingly better straight from the can than poured in a glass

Vendome Liquor is a chain, but not sure how many stores they have. I go to the one in Beverly Hills, but there's also one in North Hollywood and Fullerton. I also pick up beers at Beverage Warehouse in Marina Del Rey. They've got a good selection and get beers from all over. BevMo is not my favorite. Whole Foods is getting much better these days, but I think each location is different and depends on the buyer at that location. For example, good luck trying to find Founders KBS when it comes out. One Whole Foods will have it but many won't.

Ya each Whole Foods has different distributors and gets different beers, which is kind of cool. The one closest to me is the one in Brea which occasionally has a few gems. But occassionaly I'll go to one in downtown LA if I'm in the area and they have a totally different selection. Always hit or miss though. If you're ever in Placentia near The Bruery, check out Mr. K's. It's a sketchy looking liquor shop right across the street from The Bruery with a really good craft selection. And then the place I mentioned earlier in Anaheim near Disneyland is called Veeco. The dude who manages the beer portion is pretty cool and has an instagram and posts all the new drops and stuff.

Thanks for the tips. I'll keep them in mind.

I've heard that Whole Foods in downtown LA has a decent selection, but I haven't been there. For you, keep in mind Burbank Handy Market. They have an Instagram account as well and post offerings that typically go very fast. Last week, for example, they had three different Cantillon's that sold in no time at all. I missed it.

Ya I'm not going to Burbank lol. I work in Monterey Park and go to this girls house in DTLA occasionaly so thats the only reason I stop at the Whole Foods down there. I've seen a few decent things there. I actually got a dogfish head 120 minute IPA and the FW Anniversary ale there. The one in Brea I've gotten a few Russian River sours.

The Cantillons would be awesome though, I can imagine though people drop everything to get those releases though lol.

I'm not that dedicated anymore haha. I used to trade a lot and be active about getting bottles. Now the only bottles I really buy are Bottle Logic releases and then whatever the store happens to have when I'm in need of beer. I spent too much money on beer and now I need to save haha.

Too funny. I'm just about there myself. I just don't have anywhere to put them, and my wife doesn't want anymore. But...I just couldn't resist on this one!

I have two 15-bottle cases in my "cellar" closet, and two 12-bottle cases next to the gunsafe, and almost another filled 12-bottle case filled. Almost all Bottle Logic bottles too. Have a couple Rare Barrel bottles, a few Ten Fiddy cans from last year, a couple CBS bottles from last year, a 2012 Darklord, and some other random stouts. I really need to drink that Darklord soon

Sounds like a bottle share in our future!

I've got a stack in the dining room, three shelves in the kitchen, and shelf in the fridge, beer in my truck, in the garage and at work. Bursting at the seams!! Many of mine are from Firestone. But I went to Vermont in October and brought back, Hill Farmstead, Alchemist, and Hermit Thrush. The Alchemist are all gone now, and the Hermit Thrush will be soon. Others are Russian River, Founders, Bruery, Draii Laag, Iron John's, Allagash, Jester King, Jolly Pumpkin, and many from local SoCal breweries. Too many in fact. That's why I'm stoked that I've got a regular bottle share on Fridays at work.

Yup. Sounds like we need a bottle share indeed. You had me at Alchemist and then broke my heart when you said they're all gone.

I'd love to try some Hill Farmstead though. I pretty much only have Bottle Logic bottles but I very rarely drink one by myself so would love to share with others who love beer too. Same with that Darklord, it's a bomber and high ABV.

My attempt to get back on the Hopfathers good side. Clean glass offering.

I find that I use my PP glass the most. Really like the TEKU too, just don't drink a whole lot of sours and farmhouse brews.

Meh. I used to use my tulip for everything except sours as I have a teku for that. But then I finally just got one of them fancy bubbly bottom glasses that are super narrow and then have a big bulbous top with a nice little lip. Use that for IPAs always now. Got a fancy ish stout glass too.. fuck explaining here's a link to what I got

    http://www.spiegelau.com/products/glass-collections/l/craft-beer-glasses/

I have the IPA, Stout, and Wheat glass
