1st Gen Bilstein 5100 Part Numbers

Hey yall, I recently bought some 33-185606 rear shocks for my 2000 tacoma. i know that the 4600 shocks had one shorter than the other so that you can install shorter one on the driver side.
The 5125 aren't the same setup? I got them off of ebay and emailed the seller, but wondering if anyone knows?? Im going to test fit them on there and see what i get but hopefully it wont be crooked when im done!

I put them on all for corners of my stock height Gen 2 and couldn't be happier

People who don't have these yet have a terrible time finding out the part numbers, so here they are for FIRST GEN:

BE5-D558-T0 = front preload adjustables (0"-2.5" Lift, same part both sides)
BE5-D559-T0 = rear driver (length works with 0"-1.5" Lift)
BE5-D560-T0 = rear passenger (length works with 0"-1.5" Lift)

These are the silver RCD (Race Car Dynamics, Inc) version:

Lengths for rears are according to DSM.

The only purpose of this thread is to provide thses part numbers for these popular shocks.

Edits:

I attached the Bilstein 5100 brochure that explains how the front struts achieve leveling/lift and compares them to other types of lift and their limitations.

Note on front shock settings: there are three for 1st gen. There is some dispute about the height on the middle setting.

First setting
= zero

Second setting
= 1" ("average" according to Down South Motor Sport site)
or
= 1.25" ("average" according to Dan at Wheeler's, specifically for a V6 Xcab)

Third setting
= 2.5"

The condition/wear of your coils, your engine and cab type, and the amount of junk hanging off the front of your truck all affect the height, so no one will be able to give you an exact number.

EDIT 10 YEARS LATER:
I did not know this until confusion popped up in a recent (late 2017) thread. Apparently since January 2017, there are now two different types of adjustable 5100s:

Original with 3 settings (Race CAr Dynamics)

Newer alternative with 4 settings, direct from Bilstein.

From Wheeler's site: This high performance Bilstein front shock set has 3 spring seat positions you can choose that provide approximately 0″-2.5″ lift with your factory coils; the lowest notch provides a stock ride height, the second notch provides 1.25″ lift and the top notch 2.5″ approximate lift. The notches support an easy to move spring clip that supports and locks the spring seat in place. These are made to work with your factory coils but we have some customers who run these with coils such as OME 2880, OME 2881, OME 2883, Toytec 112-620, Wheeler’s T1. We can assemble coils on these shocks for you to simplify your installation process, we’ve got that option listed below.

1/17: We now have these in two different versions. We have the original BE5-D558-TO shock that has been around for years (built by Bilstein exclusively for Race Car Dynamics) as well as the new

$132 24-249928 Bilstein 24249928 Shock Absorber

24-249928 available directly from Bilstein. The 24-249928 has 4 spring seat clip grooves and the BE5-D558-TO has 3 spring seat clip grooves. The 4th clip groove on 24-249928 is slightly higher than D558’s highest clip groove which indicates that it has the ability to provide more lift or preload than D558. The 24-249928 includes two front bumpstop spacers (big washers) for use when utilizing the 4th (highest) groove. The D558 has a heavy duty primary shaft wiper protecting the main shaft seal instead of the plastic boot that 24-249928 uses. Other than that they appear identical. One thing you’ll definitely notice is that D558 costs considerably less than 24-249928. We’ve got some comparison pictures in the gallery for your review.

Mk, question on these. Are they compatible with 5 lug suspension, or do they only work on the 6 lugs?
