I installed a 3 inch lift on my 05, and everywhere i go it seems the truck wants to veer right, if i take my hand off the wheel if will go right every time. I have taken it to the alignment shop 2 times and they say its in spec, i also had them switch the tires around so its not a wheel and tire problem, i have the stock UCAs and see people talking about how you cant get it perfect with stock if you go above 2 inch, if i get new ucas and have them allign it again will it fix my issue?

Can you post the alignment specs?

If you go over 2’’ you should get new UCAs. It might be necessary but it would be helpful to see the alignment sheet.

They didn't give me a sheet sadly, i was just told it was in spec after i had them do it again , if i get new ucas and take it to get aligned again i will find a new shop. Also before the lift it never had this issue. I can still drive and everything its just a little bit annoying.

in spec is to stock spec, not lifted spec. There is a difference, look up lift specs with a 3" lift or something along those lines.

Sounds like you definitely need longer UCA and re-align again.

In spec is a broad range. It can be in spec a drive like a fucked up shopping cart. The alignment tech is probably both lazy and unskilled. A decent tech can make it drive reasonable even if some of the numbers (specifically caster, for lifted Tacos) are out of spec.

That's because we live in Montana, where they put 30 degree crowns on the roads.

I'm up in the Flathead, Kyitty is in BozeAngeles. There's a good crew down in the Bozone if you're looking to make friends.

Even on flat roads. Concrete interstate through salt lake. Still pulls right.

Heard good things about Tom's Alignment here in Bozeman. Have not been there myself yet.

My alignments have been done at Dark Horse Customs. Probably need to go to a real alignment shop just to see if they can figure it out for me some day.

I didn't have UCA's with my OME lift and the numbers were within their spec according to Toyota techs. It drove straight but definitely had bump steer and odd braking manners(didn't reset the brakes after lift).

Unfortunately you truck will never be in "spec" because it's not factory. Get numbers from other 3 in lifted, 2nd gens and tell them what you want.

Toe and camber should be 0, Caster should be 2.5 degrees or more, 3 is ideal, more will make it a little bit of an effort to turn - some prefer this because the truck wants to go straight. Much less you'll get bump steer. With stock UCAs and a 3" lift, the best you'll get for caster is about 1.5 - lots of bump steer and on road wandering.
