Good. Glad that you did not buy them, not so good on funding being pulled.

I need to do this mod. I keep getting some sort of resistance on my passenger foglight wiring. It heats up the plug over time (about a year) until it deforms enough that the light goes out. I've replaced both the plug and the bulb. Still seems to happen.

Not sure what is going on with your passenger fog, but the upgrade would bypass the passenger fog OEM harness connector.

I just checked the replacement connection I installed a couple years ago. It looks worse than the one I pictured earlier. Can't believe it even works at the moment. Looks like water keeps getting in the plug.

One advantage to hot fogs, is the ability to self de-ice. Really nice when crossing the pass in a snow storm at night.

Here is a picture of the fogs after driving back across the pass during the day with them off.

Would this upgrade work on a 14 Taco with Arb Bullbar fog light kit?

Depends on what kind of bulb the ARB bumper fog kit uses, does it use the OEM fogs? This upgrade works on H11 fogs. The one linked above that I hope to write up this weekend works on H10 fogs.

I haven't taken delivery of the truck yet so I will get back to you in Feb. when I get back into town. From what ARB says I believe the harness is plug n play and in some cases ARB includes the bulbs or says to swap in your factory bulbs.

Is there any chance that rallylights might still have a few of these connectors that you dropped shipped them? If not, where could I purchase some of them at for this harness?
    Thanks!

Mine are long gone. But several other TW members have paid it forward. I’m not sure if they currently have any.

You need to send a non-pre assembled H11 male connector like this, 1 per harness:
    https://m.ebay.com/itm/2x-H8-H9-H11...g-Socket-Adaptor-Wiring-Harness-/372083483208

    Or
    https://m.ebay.com/itm/5-Sets-For-H...nnector-Terminal-Head-Male-Plug-/253298816545

I recommend sending a minimum 2 since the 12 gauge wire technically is too large for the connector and they do not stock them. I sent a few extras for other members since shipping is more expensive than the actual parts.

So the harness only uses one of the connectors, right? Do you cap off the unused connector?

Correct. I just put electrical tape over the front of mine to keep road grime out.

Can't wait? What are you running these in? The H11 mod will not fit a first gen (indicated by your profile).
