I went there once with my kids. It's a long climb up those steps. Amazing place to visit... Isn't it one of the wonders of the world?

If you're doing a 3-4 day hike it's either the Inca Trail or maybe Lares trek. We did the Lares trek... beyond awesome but climbing mountains with a 40lb pack at 14,000ft is an experience.

Make sure to get the MP well before sunrise... like 6am. Then climb up to watch the sun rise over MP. It's a surreal place and experience, and a good guide will tell you things like all the dirt used at MP for crops was brought in from the Sacred valley etc.

We did the Amazon for a few days, Cusco, and Lima as well. Great time and very affordable once there. And make sure to try Guinea pig... it's a local Peruvian delicacy.

Shot from Lares Trek at high elevation. We hiked typically from 7am-7pm each day.

I think Arequipa is extremely underrated. Lots of cool museums and sights, good food for mega cheap, and a lot of outdoor activities in the surrounding area. Cusco is cool too. Didn’t spend too much time in Lima but it’s a city of 10+ million so a lot of good and bad depending what you’re in to
