I need a Seattle area 2005-2011 Tacoma Prerunner/4x4 with factory fogs to receive a free foglight upgrade provided by me. I have developed an H10 foglight upgrade on another vehicle and want to feature it on a Tacoma for a Tacoma World thread. My Tacoma is a 2015 and not compatible with this mod, this is where your Tacoma comes in.

What is in it for me:
-Your agreement for me to modify your foglights and use photos of your Tacoma in a foglight upgrade thread (plates can be obscured if needed)
-Measuring and testing of output on your Tacoma

What is in it for you:
-A foglight upgrade provided and installed by me at no cost to you (costs about $120)
-Your foglights will be 3x+ brighter and retain OEM cut offs.
-Your truck will be featured in one of my lighting threads

    Details
The upgrade requires no permanet modifications to the vehicle and is 100% reversible.

    Your truck needs:
-OEM factory fogs in good condition (no hazing, and no aftermarket fogs unless CAPA)
    -Stock front bumper
-Is a prerunner or 4x4 (not interested in working on low 2wd trucks)
-No large lifts or Bro lean
    -Is in good operating condition
-Cannot have a loud aftermarket exhaust at idle (testing requires vehicle idling)

Due to the nature of lighting mods and testing, this will have to be done after dark. I'd estimate total time is 1-2 hours. Work will be done in a heated garage. Might have some other Tacomas present doing some other lighting upgrades, so with BSing/helping it might be just a little longer.

You will need to come to Kirkland and be available for a few hours. This is casual, hang out, drink a beer if of age and BS while working on trucks.

Looking to do this Saturday evening 1/6, but subject to change.

Here is an output shot of the foglight output on the other vehicle, headlights are disabled. Stock fog left, upgrade fog right.

If you are unfamiliar with my work, I've done a few lighting upgrades:

Well... you could drive. :) But would be cheaper to DIY the mod later.

You can use my truck. But I have a magnaflow exhaust. It’s not super loud but it’s a little louder than stock

Does your truck have an aftermarket bumper? It appears so in the profile pic. I’m looking for something with a stock front end. I didn’t consider aftermarket bumpers using factory fogs when I listed needing to OEM fogs setup.

Might have to do this for my 2017 Ryland  I'm currently running yellow fogs, ever find any good bulbs out there for going that route?

Your welcome to come over for the mod day. Scott will be here with his Tacoma too if his parts arrive in time.

There is a yellow bulb version of this mod. Haven’t found a retailer for them yet, but I’m looking. The yellow and clear version will be higher output than anything on the market that maintains factory fog cut offs.

@gnardoggie already claimed the freebie. Install date was pushed to mid week due to a late shipment. Sounds like your truck would work, if for some reason he is unable to make it I’ll let you know.

    Freebee, Shmeebee.

Having a knowledgeable and (more importantly) an INTERESTED guy take an interest in getting you where you want to go is worth his price of admission.

Win, win, win ! And if you keep your ears open and mouth shut, there is no telling what you'll learn !

    Kudos to @crashnburn80
