OEM bedmat does a great job from keeping stuff from sliding around.

The used banana boxes from Costco. We have two now. One of them is almost three years old and duct taped together, but they work great. I have a bed rug installed so they don't slide around.

I work in a gasket and seal manufacturing facility. The owner let me cut a 57 inch long piece of 1/4 inch rubber of a four foot wide roll. Works great!

You'll like it. When I'm not actually using it I clip all 4 biners to D-rings I added on the header rail. Completely out of the way.

Something like this comes to mind. And something like this for larger, towering items.

I have one of these for my dog. Covers the back seats but also keeps him in he back. I had it for my previous car but it also fits the taco. Nice thing is I just fold it up and take it out along with 90% of the hair he shed.

I never even thought of a pet cover. Right now I'm using an old Navy blue bed sheet which blends in well with the interior. I had to remove the back seat head rests to fit it in behind the seats. The head rests were an eye sore anyway as I prefer a clean sight line of the tail gate.

Costco and BJs sell a collapsible crate that when folded fits behind the rear seats. I can also get like 3 or 4 of those beach bag sized thermal bags in there with them. Lately I've been using a tie down strap. Not the ratchet type. I run it from one bed rail cleat to another on the other side of the bed and through the handles of the plastic grocery bags. When I can get a hammock style net cheap I'll switch to that method. I also have a tonneau cover so that helps in the rain. The OEM bed mat, as others have said is a must. It's just grippy enough to hold things in place and still allow you to move them around with some force. Since I have short arms and a long bed I use a pole with a boat hook on the end. It's designed for pushing and pulling.

Oh, and there's no such thing as a stupid question, only stupid answers. This is a great community and one of the best forums I've ever been a member of. I've been helped so many times here.

I have the mini tie downs, so they're like a hook that holds fifty pounds or something. I've hung bags off those and it works pretty well if you're not too loaded down with groceries. Otherwise I just tie the tops and set them in the truck bed and they seem to stay (granted it's like a five to seven minute drive from the grocery store to home). If I don't have a passenger I put things in the front on the floor. If I don't have the dog then it goes on the back seat.
