Hey guys! So for all you guys out there running Fox 2.5 reservoir/DSC coilovers... Has anybody here swapped their coils out? Fox coils are 13" long and 620 lb/inch which is fine for a stock truck with no weight, but I'm gonna be running full armor eventually and am curious if anyone has experimented with installing an eibach 14" coil with the same or slightly higher (650lb/inch say) coil for slightly more lift with slightly less preload. I want to keep the shock in it's intended range of travel and as of right now I've got my preload rings cranked pretty good to get the lift I wanted and figured going with a taller coil would allow me to crank back down on the preload a little putting the shock back in it's original travel range but still leaving the truck at the same height at the end or a tiny bit higher. Anyone have any experience swapping coils out on the Fox reservoir C/Os?? Any help would be appreciated, the guys at Fox chose the supreme asshat route and basically said "why would you want to swap coils from the way it was designed" and had nothing to say when I said "because my truck isn't set up the way you designed these COs either". If I end up having to hit up Accutune and make my own COs then so be it but if I CAN keep these and get them revalved and different coils that would be ideal

I'll try asking them, I'm sure the shops have more experience than the people answering the phones at Fox, seemed like even though I asked for engineering I was still talking to a salesman

    Hey @stevotivo12 ,
We apply the 14" 650's and 700 lb coils all the time. Slightly taller height for less pre-load and heavier spring rate to compensate for the added weight. Works great! We have both the 650 and 700 lb 14" coils in stock and ready to go.
Fox and most companies really cover their butt and do not want you to customize their stuff because of how they tested it and what adjustments they deemed best. Not knowing, most guys who run their stuff are going to have additions to make their truck safer or less prone to suck in certain situations. So if they were more lenient and helpful, that would make said company WAY better than the rest. Hopefully one of these companies gets it. Hopefully.

Thank you, much appreciated! This is about what I figured but just wanted to make sure before I start swapping coils on a 2k set of coilovers! Thanks for the quality info @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc
