No, he didn’t show up. I really wanted him to be there to witness that locker going in though. What will he give me shit about now.....?

Probably, actually hooking the locker up to a compressor.

I wasn't competitive. When I got to a financial point that allowed me to pay for my speed racer fantasy's I ended up having to work to much to devote the time required. Learned how to drive pretty well though.

I wasnt meaning we had to put it out, more so just keep it a fire. A small fire in a big cave doesnt create much heat so you sleep closer to it but you can only sleep so close to where then you're rolling in coals. Keeping the fire lit isnt hard, its keeping it putting off any substantial heat thats hard without waking up every hour or so to throw more wood on. Without a fire, you're just sleeping in a big, humid, cold ass cave. I stopped relying on the fire after a few times of that. haha

Recommendations or preferences for a Scan gauge or similar monitoring system?

I’ve seen the scan gauge brand but the screen is really small and I’m blind as a bat, so something with a BFS would be ideal.

Checking in from Kingsport, Tn here. I've seen a lot of local guys on here and think it's awesome. Hell, anymore I can seem to relate to anyone in life as I get older and can't find any of the values in a person that I'm willing to put myself around lol.So here's to finding some new local friends!!

An instructor? Nice! I have to be honest, I went "full retard" (movie reference, I am not using a mental disability for my own benefit) with a bunch of Audi's and Subaru's. Your buddy would break his brain in a good Taco. There is an awful amount of weight transfer compared to a set up sedan but as soon as the surface gets rough the silly truck spreads its wings like I haven't encountered before.

I'd group the Tacoma with my Triumph Tiger. Most of the time its a comfy couch swaddled in a blanket of electronics ... but push it on or off road with all the safety turned off and your face is going to hurt from smiling.

My experience with the Taco so far anyway. My Triumph description I'm wicked firm on.

    As far as monitoring:

Is this one you leave plugged in or just use for occasional system checks? Does it monitor tranny temp?

Going to bring my fancy camera, and a pocket full of mem cards.

Yes you can leave that one plugged in.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/transmission-temp-guage.498950/

The Torque app wiki has supported hardware interfaces. That means the app developers have tested these interfaces with success and/or programmed the app to work with these interfaces.

    https://torque-bhp.com/wiki/Bluetooth_Adapters

The torque app is very powerful, IMHO I would get an adapter the developers recommend.

Also, I think the 4.95 (for the app) plus obdII adapter price is well worth alternatives to an anolog tranny temp sensor knowing ALL the other data points you'll have access to. Even if you're buying the ram mount hardware to set your mobile, the display medium, on your A pillar (or where ever you choose) you'll be coming out way on top penny wise.

And there you go. I use mine on the iPad mini mounted to the dash, so I'm using obd fusion instead of torque. Same principle though, and I also have torque on my phone.

    Tits! :D

The bobs delayed opening to 10:00 this morning. So i went out and drove around, shot some pics, and did a couple of donuts in a couple of spots. Happened to look up in my rear view and see a cop car with flashing lights heading towards the last spot where i was doing them. Missed me by 92 seconds... got the fuck out of there. .... i had practice from need for speed and midnight club

Truck is too clean, considering the conditions of this season. You can't be trusted.
